With the advancement of technology, convenience has replaced the romance of the past. Candlelight was replaced by the light bulb, handwritten correspondence by e-mail, and the days of reading hardbound classics are now long gone. In painting "Memories," I wanted to remind ourselves of how important it is to be in tune with our past.
